Having updated its smallest MH320 wheeled materials handler to D series some two years ago, Terex Fuchs has now introduced new features inside its elevating FOPS cab. The machine's operator now gets new joystick controls and a new control panel with a colour display on the monitor.
To suit materials handling operations, the horn, turn signals and magnet buttons are grouped on the left hand joystick with the slewing brake control on the back of the lever. The right hand joystick incorporates grapple slewing and the flexibility to add options with pressure boost function on its back.
The machine's control panel features a push button keypad with LED indicators for activation of functions. A multi-function button has been added to the control system that can be turned to adjust engine speed or navigate display menu functions such as cab elevation.
Complete with four stabilisers, the Deutz-engined HM320D weighs 17.8 to 19.0 tonnes (depending on configuration). Its cab rises to provide a maximum operator's eye level of around 6.0m and, when fitted with 5.2m boom and 4.0m arm, it allows a maximum working height of 8.0m with cactus grab.
